Panthers’ Clausen likely to get needed prep time

Here are a few of the whispers we've heard from around the NFC South:
• QB Matt Moore(notes) is expected to start in cheap nfl jerseys
Week Two, and a Panthers source says that's a good thing for rookie QB Jimmy Clausen(notes), who could use more time to prepare for the starting job that will inevitably be his in the not-too-distant future. Moore suffered a concussion in the season opener, but he returned to practice Wednesday.
• Falcons observers were surprised that 2009 first-round pick DT Peria Jerry(notes) was not in the starting lineup for the season opener. He may not be getting the push the coaching staff would like to see from him just yet. Jerry, who was brought along slowly in the preseason as he recovered from a leg injury, was involved in the rotation at tackle during the game, but it was Vance Walker(notes), a seventh-round pick in '09, who started alongside Trey Lewis(notes).
• The Buccaneers would like to get RB Kareem Huggins(notes) Chargers jersey
more involved on offense after he didn't get a single carry in Week One, but he'll likely continue to have his snaps limited until he improves his pass blocking. Huggins missed practice with a groin injury this week and he may not play vs. the Panthers on Sunday.
The Kansas City Chiefs ruled out defensive end Tyson Jackson(notes) and offensive tackle Ryan O'Callaghan(notes) for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.
Both players were downgraded on the official injury report today.
Barry Richardson(notes) is slated to start on the right side in place of Bears jersey
O'Callaghan, who's been dealing with a groin injury.
Jackson's role should be filled by Wallace Gilberry(notes).
