NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed during the Broncos' 34-17 win over the Steelers on Sunday night that commissioner Roger Goodell and Ben Roethlisberger(notes) will meet soon. The NFL Network is reporting that the meeting will take place Friday, after football jerseys
the Steelers' final preseason game.
Roethlisberger was suspended by the commissioner for six games after being accused of sexually assaulting a Georgia college student in March. He was not criminally charged in the case. If the Steelers' QB's suspension is reduced to four games, he would make his 2010 season debut on Oct. 17 at home against the Browns. If his six-game suspension is upheld, he would return on Halloween night when the Steelers visit New Orleans.
